Hope you are all having a good week. They are forecasting high temperatures here for today. That means another hot and sticky day at the office followed by a sleepless night. Still, we would be moaning even more if we didn't get any sunshine lol.
Today sees the start of our second challenge over at Imagination Crafts Challenges. Thank you to everyone who entered for our first challenge. Your entries were all gorgeous and you made it very difficult picking a Top 3.
Our theme for the month of August is:
Flower Power
Just upload your entry to the Imagination Crafts Challenge blog and if you use any Imagination Crafts products on your creation you could win a lovely gift voucher from Imagination Crafts. So get those stencils, stamps, sparkle medium etc out and have a go.
I created something a little different this time. I made a little box with some notelets using the following Imagination Crafts products: Silkies, Daisy decoupage stamp, gilding flakes.
The Box
1. Created a coloured background by using Silkies on white cardstock.
2. Used the small daisy stamp from the decoupage set to randomly stamp the edges of the box.
3. Stamped the large decoupage stamp image onto the top of the box.
4. Stamped an extra daisy image onto hot pink coredinations cardstock which I then sanded.
5. Put the box together and used some gilding flakes and gems around the top for more sparkle before adding the coredinations daisy.
The Notelets
1. Created the same coloured background using Silkies.
2. Stamped the large decoupage stamp image and clear embossed. Coloured the daisy image using promarkers.
3. Added a centre to the daisy by using hot glue gun and glass glitter.
4. Cut out the image and matted onto hot pink cardstock.
