Motorbike Mania

Hi Folks
Hope you are all having a good week whatever you are up to.  Only one more day till the weekend, thank goodness.  I also have Monday off as we are off to a wedding reception on Sunday evening.  This is the wedding that I have done some of the stationery for so I can finally show you what I have been working on next week.

Anyway, I managed to creep up to my crafty hovel tonight and put together this little number.

The topper is a Kenny K image and I purchased this from The Hobby House.  I simply added a touch of red distress ink to the edges and mounted onto red card.  For the background I used my special touch of Mica mask on pearlescent paper.  I thought the pearlescent paper worked really well as I didn't want anything as shiny as mirror card.  This was then mounted onto black card.  Some twine was wrapped around the card and a button added.  The sentiment, card candy and cycle helmet and gloves were from my long neglected stash (must have had the helmet and gloves for at least a year).

So there you have it, a quick and simple birthday card that is sure to please any young boy.  Thanks for popping by and hope you will pop back soon.  Thank you so much for all the lovely comments that you leave.  I really do appreciate it and look forward to reading every single one.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
One Crazy Stamper - Birthdays
Cards Galore - Bingo (Birthday, candi, sentiment)
Sentimental Sundays - Childs play
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes
Great Impressions - A square card
Ribbon Girl - Birthday card
TTCRD - Anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Embossing
Papertake - Anything goes
Crafty Creations - Texture
As You Like It - Favourite ribbon or twine - love twine as it is so versatile, it can be used with buttons or on its own and comes in a wide range of colours
The Male Room - Anything goes
Oldie but a Goodie - Boys/Male cards (cycle helmet and gloves at least a year old)

The pearlised cad works a treat, giving just the right background with the 'tyre marks' embossing. Great image too. Thanks for joining in with our first ever challenge at The Male Room

Great card, Mags - the brightly coloured image is perfect against the kraft background - and the embossing is the ideal finishing touch.
