Flower Power at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Hi Folks

Half way through the working week and can't wait for the weekend to be here. I am suffering with a cold at the moment so feeling a bit sorry for myself.  I am looking forward to Saturday as I am going to Ally Pally for the day with my Mum.  Love this show and we go every year.  If any of my crafting buddies are going and want to meet up to say hi just let me know.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is:

Flower Power

All of the team were generously given a digi to work with and I chose this stunner 'Gemma Gerbera'.

Apologies for the photo.  I just could not get the lighting right and the blues are so much better in real life.  I coloured the image in promarkers, added some faux stitiching and liquid pearls.  This was then matted onto kraft card.  The backing paper was from my rather large box of freebie papers that I have acquired over the years from magazines.  The border at the top is from Papermania and I added some die cut flowers.  A tag sentiment and some flowers and bling finished the card.
