One for the men

Evening Folks
Hope you are all managing to keep nice and warm while this cold spell is upon us. No snow here yet but the forecast is for some tomorrow night into Sunday.  Really hope they are wrong.  The white stuff does look pretty but not very nice if you have to go out. Sounding really old now lol.
Made up this little card earlier.  Decided I needed to increase my supply of mens cards.  I suspect I am like many crafters that do lots of cards suitable for females but not so many for the men.
The cute little stamp is a new one that I picked up from Coleman's Warehouse last weekend.  It is from Buzzcraft and is one of their Paws-Fur-A-Moment characters.  I coloured him using my brand new Prisma pencils which arrived today.  Think I need a bit more practicing with the colouring but thought it was not too bad for a first attempt.  May check out the internet as I am sure there will be some tutorial videos  there to look at.  If anyone knows of any just point me in the right direction.  But back to the card.  Cut out the image using one of my spellbinder dies and distress inked around the edges.  I then mounted this onto some blue card and then onto a piece of white card which embossed using my big shot.  The stripy paper is from Papermania.  The backing card is all from my stash and used two different shades of blue to add a bit of interest.  The sentiments came with the cute little stamp.  To finish off I added some buttons, bows and these die cut hammers that I had in my stash box.
A little close up of the image.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - #64 Use sketch
Simon Says Stamp - Animal antics
Cute Card Thursday - Buttons and Bows
Crafty Ribbons - One for the men or boys
Ditzy Craftymess - Anything goes

Thanks for popping by and hope to see you again soon.  Thanks to my new followers.  I appreciate your support and encouragement.

Hi Mags,
Only today found your blog (via Sue Wilson) and had a little look around and boy are you a busy girl. Love your cards and have left a comment on your wedding card of 25/1/2012 for you. Todays card is so cute and a perfect image for the DIYest. I could truly see myself putting a little quip alongside that for the man who 'doesn't do', if you know what I mean LOL...
Hope your having a good weekend. Its snowing and cold here in South Wales.
All the best Linda
