Hi Folks
My aren't the weeks just zipping by. Seems like two minutes since I was posting the last challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges but it was two weeks ago. Thank you for all the entries to the last challenge - over 500. Some amazing creations too.
The challenge for this fortnight has two sponsors:
KennyKdownloads and one lucky person will win 4 images of their choice.
Stamp Fairy and one lucky person will win $10 to spend in their on line store.
This time around we have an inspiration challenge for you - and it is a photo inspiration. Check out the photo below and use this as inspiration for your creation.
I decided to concentrate on the colours of black, white and red.
The image is a KennyK image and was such a joy to colour in. Me thinks I need more of these lol. Used black and red card for all the matting and layering. The background paper is some from my scraps box and I also used some red mulberry paper for the smaller mat. Added some ribbon, a bow, silver corner, roses, sentiment and some yummy feathers. I have had the feathers in my stash for the longest time but never seem to get round to using them.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Sketch and Stash - new = image, silver corner old - papers, feathers
Ditzy Craftymess - anything goes or black and pink
Pan Pastel - use a ribbon
Creative Inspirations - anything goes
Simon Says - anything goes
So what are you waiting for, pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges and check out the awesome work of the design team and get crafting. Looking forward to seeing all your entries.
Take care

Dude Time Doodles Blog Leap
Morning Folks
Hope you are all well and welcome to the Dude Time Doodles New Release Blog Leap. That's correct, with it being a leap year and the new release falling today we have decided to have a Blog Leap.
The Dudettes and Dude have had great fun working with the new images.
If you've arrived here from Michelle then you are heading in the right direction. Be sure to leave some love along the way as one of us is the Mystery Host or Hostess and a small prize is up for grabs just for leaving a comment.
I used an image called Billy Amish and here is what I created.
I really didn't know what I was going to do when I first saw the image. So I did some research on the internet. I discovered that there are lots of amish sayings and proverbs out there. This saying is one of them and it seemed to fit the image nicely. The background is also based on a traditional amish quilt pattern.
Now it's time to head over to Tammy's place. Here is the blog leap list just in case you get lost along the way:

Ruth
Anne
Dawn
Kevin
Michelle

Tammy
Dude Time Doodles
Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the blog leap.

A touch of purple
Evening Folks
Hope you are all well. Just had a lovely chinese for tea followed by yummy chocolate cake. My daughter bought it for me for my birthday. Had a good day and been spoiled rotten. Even had a lovely bouquet of flowers delivered at work.
Anyhow, did have time to put together a card when I got home from work today. It is a colleagues birthday on Tuesday so this is a card I have made for her.
I used one of my tatty ted toppers. I do love these but find I don't use them as often as I used to. Teamed it up with lots of purple. All the papers were from my scraps box (trying to use them up when I can). The roses are from Wild Orchid. Finished it with some skeleton leaves, stick pins, lace, ribbon, silver corners, butterflies and pearls. Also added some faux stitching around the edge of the topper and the central panel.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Forever Friends - Ribbon and Lace
Crafty Catz - Use things with the letter B (bow, bling, butterflies, bear)
Sentimental Sundays - Lace and pearls
Kaboodle Doodles - Shades of purple
Love to Create - Add stitching (real or faux)
Top Tip Tuesday - Stitches (real or faux)
Celebrate the Occasion - Birthdays and add bling
Thanks for popping by. Off to watch a film now with the lovely Liam Neeson.
Take care

A bit of fab news
Evening Folks
Hope you have all had a good weekend. Weather wise it has been glorious, lots of lovely sunshine. Went out for a meal last night. As it is my birthday on Tuesday my daughter came home from university for the weekend. We went to our local Indian restaurant and had a super meal. There were 13 of us there and we managed to see off 7 bottles of wine so a good night had by all lol.
Anyway, onto a bit of news that I have been waiting to share with you. Let's Ink It Up challenges recently had a DT call. A few days ago I was delighted when I was invited to join the very talented design team there.
Let's Ink It Up run a monthly challenge and is a rubber stamping only challenge blog - no digi images allowed. The next challenge starts on Sunday 4th March so check back then to see my first DT project.
Been busy doing some DT work today so no new card to share. However, I would like to share something with you. I really like all the little crochet flowers that are appearing on some cards at the moment. Well, I can crochet but haven't done for many years. So this morning I went to my local craft shop and bought some crochet hooks, wool and some patterns.
Had a go tonight and this is my first attempt.
I completed the large pink circle first and then did the smaller green one. Think they would look quite nice singly with a button or brad for the centre too. Surprising how quickly it all came back to me as I have not done crochet for years. Will certainly be checking out more patterns and designs. So look out for them appearing on a project soon.
Thanks for popping by and I would like to welcome my new followers. Your support and encouragement is much appreciated. Thanks also for the comments you leave me. I do enjoy reading them all.
Take care
