Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Hi Folks
Another week has flown by and it's time for a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is
Anything But A Square

We have two fab sponsors joining us this week:
QKR Stampede - prize of 5 digi images of the winners choice
Penny Blossom - prize of a $15 gift voucher

Here is my inspiration project using an image from QKR Stampede (baseball boy).


I coloured the image using my promarkers and cut it out creating a mat of black card for the image to sit on.  
For the background of my card I used my cloud embossalicious embossing folder to create the top part of the little scene.  Some polka dot paper was torn and added to the bottom along with a grass border.  I added my star burst die from Signature dies, a happy birthday sentiment and some little letters from my stash for the word star.  
For those who are interested the image, the mat for the image, the sentiment and the grass were all cut using my Brother Scan and Cut.  For cutting out images it is fabulous, I would never have got such a neat finish or created the black mat by cutting out with scissors.
