Hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend. I spent some time yesterday out in the garden trying to restore some order to my jungle. I also got to have a little crafty play on some DT work. Hoping to get a bit more crafting done today.
This is the first of three posts I have for you today.
Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Imagination Crafts Challenge blog. Our theme for this month is:
I love using butterflies on my projects so this was right down my street.
You can enter any project you like but don't forget if you use any Imagination Crafts products you will have the chance to win a fab £40 gift voucher to spend at Imagination Crafts. All entrants are eligible to be picked for a Top 3 spot.
All of the design team have used the Butterfly Flourish stencil for their projects. Here is my card.
I decided to go really bright and summery with this card. I inked through the stencil using distress inks and then added some gilding flakes around the edge. Some sparkle detail was added to the bodies of the butterflies and I matted this onto orange and yellow card. The background paper is from First Edition - Blank Canvas - and is matted onto yellow card. Used some bright orange ribbon and a lovely yellow flower that I made. I punched out some butterflies and added these to the ribbon along with a sentiment and some gems. A double bow and little dazzler finished the card.
Thanks for popping by and hope you will check out the creations from the rest of the design team. Just pop over to Imagination Crafts Challenge blog. Amazing how different projects are created from the same stencil.
Looking forward to seeing all your entries.
