Don't know about you but I always feel a bit let down by christmas crackers. They can cost a fortune and the gifts inside are not worth bothering with.
I went to a dabble day organised by my local craft shop a few weeks ago and was shown how to make a christmas cracker out of parchment.
This is my first effort:
Will probably make the ones for ladies a bit more elaborate with some flowers but depends what time I get.

Hi, Mags! Oh, I like this cracker, I like that it's square, so it doesn't roll off the table. I agree, most crackers are really disappointing, even the 'bang' is often a let-down!
