Hope you have all had a good day. The weather has certainly not been terrific today but that's par for the course in the UK. Spent a nice family afternoon watching the Jubilee Pageant on the Thames. Was certainly a well planned event and the rain didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits. I thought the Queen looked so elegant and she seemed to enjoy it all. Hopefully the rain will clear for tomorrow as we are planning on going to a Picnic in the Park event being held in our town for the Jubilee. Should be good fun and is nice to see the town pulling together to celebrate.
Anyway, onto a card that I want to share with you. I was recently asked by a friend of mine if I could do her a wedding card for her nephew who is getting married in a couple of weeks. I was asked if I could incorporate the West Ham football club colours as they are huge fans. Also, could I incorporate some bubbles on it as the couple have asked guests to blow bubbles rather than throw confetti. Quite a challenge I thought.
Here is what I came up with.
The image is from Marianne Design and is just adorable. Kept the colouring quite simple using distress inks and added glitter to her shoes and veil. The background was embossed using an m-bossabilities embossing folder. Around the image I punched out lots of little flowers and added gems to the centre. I also made some mock bubbles using some round dome stickers that I had in my stash. I added some claret coloured ribbon to the side which was edged with some die cut borders. I added a bow made from lace, a blue flower and a couple of pins. I also had some heart shaped gems which finished it off nicely.
The card was delivered to my friend yesterday and thankfully she loved it.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges.
