On Your Wedding Day

Hi Folks
Welcome to my little corner of blogland.  It has been really cold here today so snuggled up in the warm tonight. Hopefully we won't get any snow lol.

Today I thought I would share a wedding card that I was asked to do by a friend of mine.

I used an embossing folder for the background and matted this onto gold card.  The colour scheme of the wedding was peach so I used some peach ribbon across the bottom of the card and for the bow.  The hearts are an X Cut die set and I added lots of pearls and bling.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.

Femme Fatale

Hi Folks
Hope you have all had a good week.  I would say I am looking forward to the weekend but I will be working on Saturday and Sunday lol.

Today I would like to share a card that I did quite a while ago.  I haven't had a lot of chance to get in my crafty room this week so I have had a look through my photo album and found quite a lot of cards that haven't been shown on my blog yet.  Look out for more to come over the coming weeks.

This card was made using toppers and papers from the Femme Fatale CD from Kraftyhands which can be found here.  I used dark blue card for the matting and I used part of the marvellous squares die from Spellbinders for the topper to sit on.  A large metal corner, flower from my stash and some punched butterflies finished off the card.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.

Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone
Well, it has turned really cold here today.  I am bracing myself for some frosty mornings to come.  As long as we don't have any snow I can cope with it being a bit colder.

Today I thought I would share a quick male card using distress ink and stencils.

I started off by taking a square of white card and blending over various shades of blue distress ink.  I then added some water splatters for a bit of interest.  I have had the clock stencil for ages and just used some dark blue distress ink through it.  I added a birthday sentiment and some candles which are from a stamp set that I have had for years.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all the lovely comments and the support that you give me.

You Are Vintage

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and sending a big hug to anyone who needs it.  I am just now trying to get back into some sort of routine again.  Working shifts and every other weekend doesn't help with this but I am trying lol.

Today I thought I would share a card that I did for my hubby's birthday which was a week before christmas.

Please forgive the quality of the photo.  It is a bit dark but the best I could do on the day.
I used a stamp set and sentiment from Honey Doo Crafts.  I stamped and embossed using versamark and gold WOW embossing powder.  The wine bottle, glasses and sentiment were then cut out and placed onto some cream embossed card from my stash.  Some ribbon at the bottom of the card was the finishing touch.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all your lovely comments and the support that you give me.

Cute Robin

Hi Folks
I have finally managed to find some time to get on my laptop today.  Hope you all had a lovely christmas and New Year.  I have spent today putting away the christmas decorations and cleaning up.  I love having the tree and decorations up but am always glad when they go away again.

Today I thought I would share another of my last minute christmas makes.

The robin has been created using the X Cut Paisley Leaves nesting die.  I used three different sizes of the die for each of the part of the robin.  I cut the pieces out of brown card and the breast part out of glitter card.  The sentiment is one from my stash and I used some gold card for the matting and a black pearl for the eye.  The beak was added with a promarker.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your comments and the support that you give me.

Winter Wonderland

Hi Folks
Thought I would pop by today with another of my quick christmas makes.  I am planning on getting some crafty time in tomorrow afternoon after I have done my morning shift at work.  It will be nice to start working on some projects that are not christmas related lol.

I used a stamp set from Bee Crafty for this project.  It is based on a sample card that I saw at a Sincerely Yours craft show that I went to in November.

I used the word Winter from the stamp set to stamp the background using different colours of distress ink.  This was then matted onto some dark blue card.  I stamped the trees and sentiment using distress ink before matting onto the same dark blue card and adding to the background.  A dark blue ribbon bow and dazzler gem finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.

If I don't get a chance before Friday I would like to wish you all a very happy New Year.

Happy Christmas

Hi Folks
Well, Christmas is over for another year.  Hope you all had a good time and Santa was good to you.  I was very spoilt by my family and even got some crafting goodies.  I decided to have a break from blogging in the lead up to Christmas.  I was working up to and including Christmas Day and really did not have time.  Now the main festivities are over I have more time and can now get in the swing of things again.

Today I thought I would share another of my quick Christmas card makes using a stamp set from the Folk Christmas collection from Docrafts.

I stamped the various images onto white card using some blue memento ink.  I added some strings to the baubles and some doodling around the outside of the card.  This was then mounted onto some dark blue card.  For embellishments I just added some gems.

A really quick card but fun to do.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your lovely comments and your continued support.  I have not had a lot of time for commenting myself just lately but hoping to get around to visiting your lovely blogs in the next couple of days.

Christmas Tags

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  Please accept my apologies for my lack of posts and commenting over the past week.  I have been busy getting caught up with housework and christmas preparations.  I have made some of my gifts this year so that has taken up a large portion of my time this week.  Hopefully come the new year I will have more time.

Today I thought I would share with you some of the tags I have made to go on my gifts this year.

I cut the tag out from kraft card using one of my dies.  The tree and bird stamp is a stamp set from Inkylicious.  I added some glitter to the trees and some white ink around the edge of the tag.  Quick and easy and I was able to mass produce these.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your comments and keep your eyes peeled in the New Year for some candy to say thank you.

Sparkle and Shine

Hi Folks
After a busy week I am so glad it is Saturday.  One more shift to do at work tomorrow and then I have a whole week off.  Think I need it as Christmas Day is less than two weeks away lol.

Today I thought I would share another christmas card using a great stamp from Woodware.

Another quick and easy card to do.  I stamped the tree image onto some stamping card and added some little snowflakes from another stamp set I have.  The sentiment came with the tree image and I love it.  I mounted the stamped image onto some gold mirror card and then set about decorating the tree.  I used various embellishments including card candi, dazzlers, gems and pearls.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all the lovely comments that you leave me.

Merry Tweetmas

Hi Folks
Finally managed to find a few minutes to pop by my blog.  I have the next couple of days off so I am planning on finishing my christmas present shopping and getting it all wrapped.  Will be one item ticked off the list lol.

Today I thought I would share another quick christmas card using a Woodware Stamp.  I thought it was just so cute.

I stamped the image with memento ink and then coloured it in using my promarkers.  The sentiment came with the stamp.  I added some liquid pearls around the image and some doodling around the edge.  Although you can't see it very well I did add some glitter to the red breasts of the robins and some glossy accents to the nose of the reindeer.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all the lovely comments that you leave me.

Seasons Greetings

Hi Folks
Well, another week has flown by.  I have this weekend off work so planning on completing some more christmas cards and getting some presents wrapped.  Christmas is only just around the corner.

Today I would like to share another quick and easy christmas card.

I started off by blending a couple of shades of blue distress ink onto a square of white card.  I then stamped the sentiment (which I have had in my stash for months) using distress ink.  The snowflakes are XCut dies cut out of white card.  I did add some sparkle and shine spray to them.  To finish the card I added some sequins.

A really quick and easy card to do and can be done in various colours.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all your lovely comments.

Oh Christmas Tree

Hi Folks
Been a very cold and wet day here today.  I was at work this morning and then spent some time in my craft room working on some christmas projects.  Christmas is fast approaching and need to get my skates on to complete my cards on time.

Today I would like to share a christmas card using a Woodware stamp that I bought recently.

I went for a DL size card for this project.  The image of the tree was stamped using black ink.  I then went over the image with my glue pen and added lots of glitter.  The sentiment and little bird stamp came with the tree stamp.  I inked around the edge of the image panel with some black soot distress ink before mounting onto some silver mirror card.

Love the glitter effect as I think it looks like a tree on a cold frosty morning.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really do appreciate all your comments and support.

Bauble and Poinsettia

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and had a good week.  Looking forward to the weekend as I am not working and we are going to a wedding.  My niece is getting married on Saturday.  So looking forward to celebrating with all the family.  Please accept my apologies as I probably won't get to spend much time on the computer this weekend.

Today I would like to share a quick christmas card that I did using a Woodware stamp called Patch Poinsettia Bauble.

I stamped the image onto some white square card using versamark.  I then embossed the image using some WOW embossing powder called Twinkling Lights.  It is a lovely gold colour with glittery sparkle.  I stamped and embossed the image again to decoupage some of the elements.  I added some metallic thread to the top and a small stamped sentiment.  The panel was then matted onto some gold mirror card.  Some pearls to the centre of a couple of the flowers finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  Hope you all have a good weekend.

Christmas Is Coming

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  It has been a little while since my last blog post but time keeps running away from me.  With working and trying to get organised for christmas I do not have much time for blogging at the moment.

My card share today features a Woodware stamp that I got from the Sincerely Yours craft show at Newark.  I do love these DL size stampS and this one was just so cute.

I stamped with Memento ink onto some stamping card.  I then coloured the image with a combination of my promarkers and some glitter gel pens that I have.  Some fake snow and glitter was added to the bobbles and fur trim of the hats.  Some distress ink was added around the edge of the panel before matting onto some green glitter card.

Quite a simple card but I like it and can see me producing a few of these.

My apologies if I do not get around to commenting as much as I would like.  Thank you to everyone for your continued support and lovely comments that you leave me.  I really do appreciate it.

Man About Town

Hi Folks
Hope things are okay with all of you.  Hubby and I are away this weekend.  We are going with our friends to the annual Queen convention that we attend every year.  This year it is being held in Southport.  A fun packed Friday to Monday listening to Queen music, watching tribute bands and lots of drinking.  Just got to get through three more shifts at work before then.

Today I thought I would share a card I did a little while ago.  It is a male card and I used toppers and papers from the Man About Town CD from Kraftyhands.

I printed the layered topper, sentiment and papers from the CD and decided to make a stepper card.  I cut the stepper card from kraft card.  For embellishments I added a couple of wooden cog flourishes that I embossed with some bronze embossing powder.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really appreciate all the support and the comments that you leave me.  I am trying to comment on your gorgeous blogs when I can but time is limited at the moment.  The demands of a full time job lol.

Traditional Christmas Scene

Hi Folks
How are you all today?  I have been in my crafty room today catching up on some christmas makes.  Back to work tomorrow and no more days off for another 8 days.  At least with early and late shifts I still get some time to myself for crafting.

Today's card is another christmas make.  I do have some friends and relatives that like a more traditional christmas card.  With this in mind I used a topper from an old edition of Making Cards for this creation.

The papers are from the same edition of Making Cards and I used gold mirror card for the matting.  Some gold ribbon across the centre, some gold stars, card candi and a sentiment completed the card.
Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all your lovely comments and the support that you give me.
