Wedding Invitations

Hi Folks
Hope you are well and enjoying your weekend.  Just to update you on my hospital treatment.  I went on Thursday and they did the angioplasty.  I was a bit sore on Thursday evening.  However, when I got up on Friday no pain or anything and so far the results are very good.  I am not experiencing the pain in my calves when walking.  Fingers crossed that this continues.  Just got to watch my diet and exercise a bit more.  I will certainly be looking forward to dancing at my daughters wedding in June now.

So today I thought I would share with you the invitations that I have made for my daughters wedding.  She wanted all the information together rather than on different bits of card and so we went for a book style.

The front cover is ivory card.  I used a die from All Occasion dies for the bride and groom.  The bride has been cut out using glitter paper.  The wording was also an All Occasion die.  Some blue ribbon and a pearl heart slider were used to link the pages of the invite together.

Here is how it looks on the inside.

Each page was cut out of royal blue card and the corners rounded with a punch.  I printed all the wording on the computer.  This was certainly a labour of love as I had to make around 90 in total.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Hi Folks
A bit of a disappointment yesterday regarding the hospital.  I arrived at 7.30 and booked in.  However, at 8.30 my procedure was cancelled as they did not have a bed available as I do need to stay in overnight.  My procedure is now scheduled for tomorrow but only if a bed is available.  Really hope it does go ahead.

As it is Wednesday today there is a new challenge starting over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is:
Use Spooled Items
(ribbon, bakers twine etc)

We have three sponsors joining us this week:
Lacy Sunshine - prize of a $20 gift certificate
Dr Digi - prize of 2 digi images of the winners choice
Dis Digi Stamps - prize of a $12 gift certificate

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image from Lacy Sunshine called Willow's Butterfly Friend.

I coloured the image in promarkers and added some glitter glamour dust to the flower in her hair and her little wings.  I cut the image out using one of my dies and then added some liquid pearls.  Some thin pink ribbon was then threaded around the die cut before adding a crotchet bow to the bottom.  I added a sentiment and a crotchet butterfly to finish the card.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges for full challenge details.  Don't forget to check out the gorgeous inspiration from my talented teamies.

Guest Designer at TTCRD

Hi Folks
This is a scheduled post as when this goes live I should be in the hospital waiting for my treatment.  Hopefully, I will be back home later on today or first thing in the morning.  It just depends on what time they do the treatment today.  Hoping they do it early as don't fancy a night in a hospital bed.

Today I would like to share a project that I have done for Through The Craft Room Door challenges.  I was asked a little while ago to appear as a guest designer.  I was delighted to accept and thank them for asking me.

Here is the project I created using a cute digi image from The Stamping Boutique called An Uncommon Friendship.

The image has been coloured in promarkers and I added some glitter glamour dust to the mermaids tail.  The background card has been done using my brushos (my latest favourite thing).  I just sprinkled various colours and spritzed with water.  Some natural moss and flowers, a sentiment, ribbon bow and gems finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to check out the challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door.  The challenge is Anything Goes and would love for some of you to enter.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

A Little Bit Naughty

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and had a good weekend.  Spent Saturday painting doors and woodwork in our hallway upstairs.  On Sunday I did manage a bit of crafty time but back to painting today.

I am going into hospital tomorrow to have a procedure called an Angioplasty.  Hopefully, this will sort out my problems with pain in my legs when walking.  Should be out on Wednesday so please forgive me if I am not able to visit your lovely blogs for a couple of days.

Anyway, today I am sharing a card that was made using the A Little Bit Naughty CD from Kraftyhands.

For full details of how I made this card please pop over to the Kraftyhands blog.  You will also find lots of inspiration from the design team.

Flights of Fancy at The Crafting Cafe

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and have had a good week.
Today I am popping by to share some inspiration for our current challenge over at The Crafting Cafe.  Our theme for this month is:
Flights of Fancy

Our sponsor for this challenge is Dr Digi's House of Stamps and the prize for the winner is 2 free images of their choice.

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image called Quackers from our sponsor.

I coloured the image with promarkers before matting onto black cardstock.  I also added a little distress ink around the edge of the image.  For the background I used my new brushos.  I sprinkled the brushos onto white cardstock and then spritzed with water and let them work their magic.  The colours are really vibrant in real life.  I did the sentiment on my computer and finished the card with some ribbon, a bow and some heart buttons.  Turned out quite cute I think.

For A Special Lady and New Stash

Hi Folks
I had a lovely day at Ally Pally on Saturday with my Mum.  We met up with a few blogging buddies and had a great time watching demos and seeing all the inspiration around.  There are a couple of pictures at the end of this post of the new stash I acquired.

When I got back from Ally Pally I had a letter waiting for me from the hospital.  As some of you are aware I have been having problems with my legs for some time.  This has resulted in difficulty walking long distances.  After my last consulation it was decided that I was going to be referred for an angioplasty as the problem is my arteries in my legs.  This is now scheduled for 21st April.  I should only be in hospital for the day and the recovery period is quite quick.  So hopefully in a couple of weeks I should be able to walk better and for longer, fingers crossed.

Anyway, enough of my waffling and lets get onto crafty matters.  Today I would like to share a card that I made for my Mum's birthday in March.

I used a lovely flower stamp from Honey Doo Crafts to create the flowers on pearlescent card.  I stamped and heat embossed the flowers before cutting them out and shaping them.  The flourish behind the flowers is also from Honey Doo Crafts.  The sentiment is a stamp from another stamp set that I have.  I kept the colour scheme simple and added a ribbon bow, pearl embellishment and dazzlers to the centre of the flowers.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I really appreciate all the comments that you leave me.  Please accept my apologies if I don't get round to visiting all your blogs.  Things are getting busy on the wedding front here for my daughter's wedding in June.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
One Crazy Stamper - Anything goes
Penny Black and More - Birthdays
Creative Inspirations - A trio of ..... flowers
Aud Sentiments - Birthday sentiment
Sister Act - Anything goes
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes
Corrosive - Floral fantasy
Scribble and Scrap - Anything goes
The Ribbon Girl - Add ribbon or lace
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
Incy Wincy - Embossing
Crafting from the Heart - Anything goes
Not Just Cards - Anything goes

Now as promised here are a couple of photos of my new crafty stash that I got from Ally Pally.

The essentials, stamps and ribbons.

A few dies, lots of flowers and my special purchase - a set of brushos.  I have had a play with them today and love them.  Watch out for a card coming soon.

Use Kraft

Here is my inspiration project using a cute stamp Dinkies Spikey Flower.

For the topper I stamped directly onto the kraft card and just added some stickles for a bit of sparkle.  The base of the easel card was created by just randomly stamping with the spikey flower stamp.  I added some dotty paper which is also from Little Claire.  A sentiment, some dotty ribbon and card candi finished the card.

Anything Goes at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  It has been very windy here the last couple of days and quite cold with it.  Just hope the nicer weather turns up soon.  I had a successful shopping trip on Monday and managed to get my dress, handbag and fascinator for the wedding.  Just got my shoes and a jacket to get now.  Less than 3 months to go now and very excited.

Anyway, today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is:
Anything Goes
A nice easy one for you all.

We have two sponsors for this week's challenge:
Lemon Shortbread - prize of 3 digi images to the winner
Deedees Digis - prize of a $15 gift certificate

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image from Lemon Shortbread.

I decorated a cute little gift bag for this challenge.  The image was coloured in promarkers and I then covered the image with a glitter sticky sheet from Little Claire.  The sheet is transparent so you can still see the image but you get a lot of sparkle.  I wanted to try and create a mystical feel.  The image was then mounted onto black card.  The sentiment is a die from All Occasion dies.  Some ribbon and a bow finished the gift bag.  The butterfly sparkles at the top is a strip that I got from a friend for my birthday.  You can either use it as a strip or cut off the individual butterflies.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges for full challenge details.  Don't forget to check out the inspiration from my talented teamies.
