Hi Folks
Well, another week has flown by and today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.
Our theme for this week is a nice easy one for you all:

We have two great sponsors for this challenge and they are StampArt Design and Sparkle and Sprinkle.

For my inspiration project I have used a super sweet image from StampArt Design called Owl-Ways Yours and the image can be found here.

I used my promarkers to colour the image before cutting out and matting onto a die cut shape.  The papers are from an old Forever Friends paper pad called Pink Parfait.  For embellishments I added a bow, roses and pearl heart detail.  The sentiment is a bonus image that you get with the main digi image.

Dinosaurs Rule

Hi Folks
Hope you are well and had a good weekend.  I have had a busy few days.  I went to Alton Towers on Friday with my daughter and some friends.  Only went on a few of the smaller rides, I cannot handle the rollercoasters.  When we got back we headed up to our local Rugby club who were holding a beer festival over the weekend.  Saturday I had a workshop at my local craft shop and on Saturday evening we went to some friends for a chinese takeaway and drinks.  Then yesterday we cooked Sunday roast for 8 people.  Glad to get a bit of a rest today lol.

Today I thought I would share a little card set that I made using the Dangerous Dinosaurs CD from Kraftyhands.  The CD can be found here and features five different dinosaurs together with quick card sets, toppers, papers and more.  Very good value for money and the images would certainly suit those young people who love dinosaurs.

I used the quick card making sets and the backing papers to create these cards.  Just added some coordinating cards for the matting.  So quick and simple to do.

Here is the full set that I made.

Thanks for popping by and enjoy the rest of your day.  I would love to know what you think.

Imagination Crafts Show Times

Hi Folks
Another busy week here but having a day out tomorrow with my daughter and some friends.  We are going to Alton Towers for the day.  Not sure I will go on many of the big rides unless I am feeling brave. The weather is looking good so better take some sun cream with me.  Don't want to get burnt.

Just wanted to pop by to share a card with you but also to let you know that Imagination Crafts will be on Create and Craft tomorrow.  They have 5 shows scheduled at 8.00am, 11.00am, 2.00pm, 4.00pm and 7.00pm.  I will be recording the shows to watch on Saturday and I know that Sue will have some great demos lined up.

My card share for tonight is one I made a few weeks ago using products from Imagination Crafts.

I used the butterfly and daisy stencil with sparkle medium onto patterned card.  Once the medium was dry I chopped it into three pieces and mounted onto white card.  The three panels were then mounted onto blue card before adding ribbon, a bow, punched butterflies and a bow.

Thanks for popping by and hope you will tune in to watch the shows on Create and Craft.  You will be in for a real treat.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Indigo Blu Butterflies

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  It has been a really hot day again here today.  I just wish it would get a bit cooler at night for sleeping.  But we can't have it all lol.

Today I am sharing a card to enter into the challenge at Lisa B Designs.  The challenge is to use Indigo Blu or Jane Gill Stylised Flowers.  I decided to use Indigo Blu stamps and I have actually taken my inspiration for this card from a tutorial that Lisa did on the Lisa B Designs blog.  You can find Lisa's tutorial and card here.

I used a stencil from Imagination Crafts for the background.  I stamped the Indigo Blu butterflies onto some card and used distress ink to colour them.  I also added some glitter to the butterflies for a bit of sparkle.

My card is no match for Lisa's but I am quite pleased with the result and it was great to try something a bit different.  Would love to know what you all think.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Anything Goes with Imagination Crafts

Hi Folks
Nice early post from me today.  Hoping to get in my crafty room today as I have got a couple of DT projects to do.  Better try and do that this morning so I can watch the Tour de France this afternoon.

Today I would like to share a little inspiration for our current challenge of Anything Goes at the Imagination Crafts challenge blog.
You can enter any creation into the challenge but if you do use Imagination Crafts products you could win a £40 voucher to spend at Imagination Crafts.

I used a couple of different stencils (garden chair and birdcages), sparkle medium (black stars, light copper and golden pine) and secret garden patterned card.  All these items are available from Imagination Crafts.  Once I had created the little scene on the patterned card using the stencils and sparkle medium I matted it onto black card.  This was then matted again onto purple pearlescent card and gold mirror card.  I added a ribbon and bow, some pearls and some little punched flowers to the greenery.

Thanks for popping by.  Just pop over to Imagination Crafts challenge blog for full details of the challenge.  All of the design team have been busy and you will find lots of awesome inspiration.

Happy 2nd Birthday

Hi Folks
The weather has been glorious here today.  Popped into town to do some shopping with my daughter this morning and then had a clear out of my wardrobe this afternoon.  The charity shop is going to receive quite a few bags of clothing out of me.  It amazes me how much stuff you can accumulate without realising.  But very satisfying to be able to have the time to get organised and sorted.

Today's card is one I made for one of my daughter's friends little boy.

I used a topper from Lily of the Valley, so useful for those quick cards.  I used kraft card for the matting and the papers are from K & Company.  I added a button, sentiment from Craftwork Cards and some punched corners.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.

I also forgot to post the winner of my little surprise candy from a couple of weeks ago.  Now the rules for entering the candy were that you had to comment on both my post and the inspiration post over at Imagination Crafts.  After checking all the comments I did a draw from the people who had commented on both and the winner is:

If you could drop me an email (address in side bar) with your address I will get your goodies posted to you.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Create It 2 Magazine from Kraftyhands

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and had a good week.  Sending big hugs to those who need it.  I have been busy the last couple of days helping hubby to finish clearing out our garage.  I can't believe the amount of stuff he had hoarded in there.  But it is now all gone and order has been restored.  I will certainly have to keep an eye on hubby to make sure he doesn't mess it up lol.

Today I would like to share a card that I made for the Create It 2 magazine from Kraftyhands

I printed out all the elements for this card from the DVD.  The only addition from my stash was the pink backing card, the ribbon, resin flower and gems.  I also added some stardust stickles to the little shoes but it is not showing up very well on the photo.

You can find full details about the Create It 2 magazine here.  But be quick if you want it as the magazine is a limited edition print of only 200.  Issue 1 did sell out within a month of publication.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  Have a good weekend everyone.

Bright and Beautiful

Hi Folks
Well it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here.  The sun is shining and already quite hot.  It is my eldest daughter's birthday today.  She will be 27 which makes me feel quite old.  Where have all the years gone I wonder?  She is coming round tonight and we are going to have a takeaway so looking forward to that.

I am caught up on all my DT work so thought I would make a card to enter into the Little Claire's monthly challenge.  They have two prizes up for grabs this month and one of them is to be a guest designer for them in August and September.  A fab prize and would love the chance to work with more of their gorgeous stamps.

Here is the card I created using the sketch provided.

This little stamp called Spiky Flower is one of the first stamps that I bought from Little Claire.  I just added a touch of colour with my promarkers and then added some stardust stickles for added sparkle.  Not sure if the photo has really picked this up.  The papers were in my scraps box and I inked the edges with some distress ink.  Added a ribbon and bow, some flowers and gems to finish the card.  The flowers were purchased from Samaflora.  She makes some gorgeous flowers - here is the link to her Facebook page.  I also punched out some little corners for the image.  Do love this corner punch that I have and use it quite a lot.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do enjoy reading all your comments.

Summer Holidays with Kraftyhands

Hi Folks
Hope you all had a good weekend.  Spent a lovely afternoon yesterday at our local town carnival.  It didn't rain either lol.  I must say that I have been totally drawn in watching the Tour de France.  I can see I am not going to get much done over the next 3 weeks until it is finished lol.  The stamina and skill that those guys have on their bikes.

Anyway, today sees the start of a new challenge over at Kraftyhands.  Our theme for this month is:
Summer Holidays

Here is my inspiration project using images and papers from the Vintage Transport CD which can be found here.

It's All About the Pets

Hi Folks
Well it was raining when I first got up this morning but the sun is now trying to come out.  Really hope it is good for tomorrow.  It is carnival day in our town and hoping to pop by for the afternoon.  Nothing better than sitting out in the sun with a nice cold drink and a hot dog lol.

Today I thought I would share a couple of cards that I made using the design sets from the Create It Magazine issue 1 from Kraftyhands.  I believe the magazine has sold out now so well done if you were lucky enough to get one.

Look at the expression on that dog's face, so cute.  All of the items on this card were printed from the CD.  The only things from my stash that I added was the yellow card for the matting and some stickles around the image.

For my second card I added some lace, resin flowers and a ribbon bow from my stash.  Again, the image is so cute and could be used for other occasions too.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I love reading your comments and thank you all for your continued support and encouragement.
