Hi Folks
Hope you are all well. It seems we are back to the wet and gloomy weather here. But at least it was lovely for the bank holiday so can't complain. Really not sure we are destined to have a summer this year lol.
Anyway, today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges. We have a technique challenge for you this week as we would like you see you
Make a Joyfold Card
Now, if like me, you are not totally sure what a joyfold card is there is a great tutorial here.
We have two sponsors for this challenge:
Sassy Studio - prize of 4 digi images of the winners choice
Eureka Stamps - prize of 5 digi images of the winners choice
All of the design team have used images from our sponsors for our inspiration projects. I have used a lovely image from Sassy Studio.
I decided to go for a colour scheme of black, white and red. The image is coloured using promarkers and I used some distress ink around the edges of the image and the papers. The papers are from the Papermania capsule collection. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and I added a black feather and pin behind it. The sentiment is acting as the stopper to keep the card closed.
I really enjoyed making this card as it was a chance to try something new. For full details of the challenge just pop over to Penny's. You can also check out the super creations from the rest of the design team. Why not have a go at doing one yourself? Looking forward to seeing what you create.
