My monochrome angel

Hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.  Mine has been great so far but will update you on that in a later post.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Hobbycutz.  Kobie from Hobbycutz produces some beautiful wooden lasercut embellishments and other items.  They are fabulous and super for adding a different dimension to your creations.  Just pop over to the store to check out what is available.

Here is my inspiration project using an image from Kenny K.

As you can see I went with variations of purple for my creation.  I coloured the image with promarkers and then cut it out.  Now when I was cutting the image out I dropped it onto my work table.  It landed on top of my Hobbycutz pieces that I had out at the time.  One of the pieces it landed on made it look like she had wings.  So that's how my creation was born.  I added glitter to the piece and think it looks quite cool.  I added some ribbon and another piece from Hobbycutz which was the heart.  Some distress ink round the heart, a rose and some little pins made a lovely embellishment.  The sentiment was in my stash and says 'Daughters like you are precious and few'.  I thought it fitted the image really well.
