Well, what a wet and miserable day it has been here. And so cold with it too. If this carries on I will have to get my thermals out lol. I am a bit late posting tonight so will just get on with it.
I have decided that I need to experiment a bit more with colour. The challenge over at Just Tracey's at the moment is to use yellow, green and white so I thought I would give it a go.
The image I have used is a Penny Black slapstick stamp and is just so cute. I coloured with promarkers and cut out using one of my scallop circle dies. I then layered this onto a lace doily that I coloured lightly with distress ink. I used the sketch from the Sketch N Stash challenge for the layout. All the papers are from Papermania and I used some yellow cardstock that I had for the matting and layering. For embellishments I used three white buttons that I threaded some coloured twine through. I then added a memory box corner, some flowers from my stash, some little butterflies, ribbon and bow and a sentiment. I also added some stardust stickles to the flowers for a bit of added sparkle.
I am quite pleased with the way it turned out using a colour scheme that I would not automatically turn to.
