Happy Pink Birthday

Evening folks
Hope you are all well this evening.  The weekend seemed to go really quickly and it was a bit of an effort getting myself motivated for work this morning.
Hubby had to take his car into the garage today.  On the way home from work last Monday a fox or something suddenly ran out into the road and hubby could not avoid hitting it.  It all happened so quickly but luckily hubby kept his cool and avoided swerving into other vehicles or going into the ditch.  Trouble is it causes a lot of damage to your vehicle. In my hubby's case £900 worth of damage.  Has claimed on the insurance but have still got the excess to pay, ouch!!  Guess I will have to keep working a bit longer lol.
Anywho, onto my card for today.  It is my niece's birthday on Monday next week so thought I had better get a card done for her.  The challenge over at Crafty Catz at the moment is to make a card using your favourite things.  Just by chance my favourite things to craft with are also some of my nieces favourite things.  Must admit that I did go a bit overboard.

Pink and purple are two of my favourite colours to craft with.  In this card I chose pink.  The photo is a bit dark I am afraid.  The image is from Saturated Canary - a new purchase.  Coloured with my promarkers and I did add glamour dust to the little bird in the image and matted onto Coredinations.   I love coredinations cardstock and can't resist distressing it.  All the papers used were from my stash and scraps box.  I added some ribbon and lace near the bottom.  The little flowers were punched with one of my little flower punches.  I used buttons for the centre of the flowers.  I added a punched butterfly out of glitter card and used some pearls to add a little trail.  I created the sentiment by using two little mini tags in pink and suspending them from the bow.  In real life this is so pink and girly.
