I used a gorgeous image from one of our sponsors - All Dressed Up for this project.  I coloured the image using my Prismacolour pencils before cutting out using my scalloped oval die.  I inked through the die with some distress ink and added some liquid pearls.  This is a tent fold style card and I embossed the card to give the dotty background before adding some distress ink around the edges.  A bow, sentiment and some blue pearls finished the card.  Very simple but effective.  The song that inspired this card is I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.

Autumnal Colours at Crafting Musketeers

Hi Folks
Back again for my second post of the day.

I am here to share with you some inspiration for our current challenge over at Crafting Musketeers.  Our theme for this month is:
Autumal Colours

Our great sponsor this month is Oak House Studio with a prize of a £10 voucher to spend at their online store.

Here is my inspiration project using a Gorjuss decoupage image.

This decoupage image came as part of a kit together with the backing paper.  I used some brown and beige card for the matting layers.  I also die cut some leaves from autumnal coloured papers.  I think it does look a bit as if she is enjoying a swing under a lovely tree.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to get your entries in for the challenge.  Just pop over to Crafting Musketeers to see the full challenge details.

Pink and Girly

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  The weather here has certainly turned a bit colder.  I suppose we could always hope for an Indian summer lol.

Today I thought I would share the card that I made for my youngest daughter's birthday in August.

I used a Woodware shoe stamp which is super for all those girly cards, especially if the lady in question loves shoes.  The stamp set does come with a few sentiments and swirl flourishes.  I started off by stamping the shoe onto white card with memento ink.  I then stamped the shoe again onto two different patterned papers and paper pieced the shoe together.  I created the background to the shoe by stamping the swirl flourish.  Some faux stitching around the outside completed the shoe topper.  For the background I used some paper from my scraps box and added some ribbon, dazzler gems and pearls.  The sentiments were the finishing touch.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  I do appreciate all the lovely comments you leave me.

Guest Designer at Crafting By Designs

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and thanks for popping by.  This is the first of 3 posts from me today.  Hope you will pop back later to check them all out.

Today I am delighted to be appearing as a guest designer over at Crafting By Designs for their September Anything Goes challenge.  Thank you to Doris and the team for inviting me to join them.

Here is my inspiration project that I created.

I created the large flower by using a Tim Holtz tattered floral die for the base.  This was then topped with various flowers from my stash, some stamens, some muslin and dried flowers.  After the flower was created I mounted it onto some distressed purple and distressed kraft card.  I used some pearls and a butterfly for embellishments.  Along the bottom of the card I used some washi tape and stamped a little sentiment.

Hope you will join in with the challenge over at Crafting By Designs.
