Christmas Tags at Winter Wonderland

Hi Folks
Well another week has flown by and it's Friday already.  Looking forward to a quiet weekend before the hen weekend to come.  Planning some crafty time and hopefully a spot of gardening. Hope you all have a good weekend whatever you are doing.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland.  Our theme for this week is:
Christmas Tags

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image from Crafty Sentiments called Snowman Couple.

I cut my tag out using kraft card.  The background has been done using brushos with water.  I created this background for another project and had a bit left over so thought it would be perfect.  As you can see I have gone for a non traditional christmas colour theme.  The image was coloured with promarkers and then fussy cut out.  I added some glamour dust to the bobble hat and some ice crystals for the snow on the ground.  A stamped sentiment and some twine completed the tag.

Our wonderful sponsor for this week over at Winter Wonderland is:

with a prize of 3 digi images to the winner.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your super entries.  Just pop over to Winter Wonderland for full challenge details.  Don't forget to check out the gorgeous inspiration projects from my talented teamies.

Clean and Simple

Hi Folks
Thanks for popping by today and hope you are all well.  It is a bank holiday on Monday in the UK and I am really looking forward to this weekend.  My daughter and her fiance are coming round tomorrow for a barbecue before we sit down to watch Eurovision.  Then on Sunday we are going to our local pub as they have a few live bands playing during the afternoon and evening.  Hopefully I will get some crafty time in Monday if I am not too hungover lol.

Today's card is a clean and simple male card using distress ink and a stamp from Papermania.

I started by creating the background colour.  This was simply done with distress ink on white card.  The watches stamp is square but I wanted to put a sentiment in the middle.  I therefore masked off the centre of the stamp and stamped it with memento ink.  Then in the masked area I used a sentiment stamp.  The Happy Birthday is an All Occasion die from Robert Adams.

A really quick but effective male card.  I would love to know what you think.  Thanks for popping by and hope that you all have a good weekend.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
One Crazy Stamper - Anything goes

613 Avenue Create - Anything goes

Vintage Treasures from Kraftyhands

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and having a good week.  I received some very sad news yesterday.  As some of you know I left my job with the civil service last year.  One of my ex colleagues who I worked with was tragically killed in a car accident on his way to work yesterday morning.  He was a lovely guy and we did have some laughs.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  My thoughts go out to his family at this sad time.

Today I would like to share a a project that I have done over on the Kraftyhands blog.  This project was created using the Vintage Treasures CD which can be found here.  However, I am only going to give you a sneaky look here.

For details of how I created this card and to see the full project just pop over to the Krafyhands blog.  Would love for you to leave a comment over there letting me know what you think.

I do have a tendency to keep old boxes for recycling.  This is a Turkish Delight box that I got for christmas.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and matted onto a diecut.  The box was covered with chocolate themed paper from my stash and some chocolate themed ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.  Some flowers, a bow and pearls finished the box.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to check out the full challenge details at The Crafting Cafe.  The theme is open to interpretation and looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

The background has been embossed using a swirly embossing folder and then matted onto silver mirror card.  The inner frame is a Sue Wilson Noble Die.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre and used some silver mirror card behind the die cut.  The flower is a Spellbinders die - delicate asters.  This has been cut out of silver vellum.  Some pearls around the edge of the card and some punched butterflies finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to pop over to Crafting Musketeers to check out the challenge.  My talented teamies have been busy creating some super inspiration for you.

Button It Up at Winter Wonderland

Hi Folks
Hope you are well and had a good week.  I am spending today helping my youngest daughter to sort out the final plans for her sister's hen weekend in Marbella.  We go in three weeks and the wedding is two weeks after that.  The time is going by so quickly and we are all getting very excited for the big day.  It will all come and go so quickly now.

Now enough of my waffling and onto crafty matters.  Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland.  Our theme for this week is:
Button It Up
You can create any project you like as long as it fits the challenge theme and is christmas related.

Here is my inspiration project:

I used a wreath bubble stamp from Woodware for this project.  After stamping the image I filled in all the bubbles with a selection of buttons, gems and pearls.  I mounted onto green and black card.  A stamped sentiment and bow from my stash completed the card together with some faux stitching.  This is a small 4 x 4 inch card and was really quick and easy to do.  Could be mass producing these come Christmas.

Our sponsor for the challenge at Winter Wonderland this week is:

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well.  Finally managed to pop by and leave a post.  It has been a busy weekend with hosting a hen party for my daughter on Saturday evening.  My youngest daughter arranged everything, organised the food menu, games etc.  I just provided the venue and the help.  Everyone seemed to have a good day and my daughter loved it.  I have posted a couple of pictures at the end of this post.

But now onto crafty matters.  Today's card has been made using a Woodware stamp that I purchased while at Ally Pally.  It is called Large Shoe.

I stamped the shoe onto white card and then paperpieced with some black and hot pink card.  I also added some glitter to parts of the shoe and a dazzler at the front.  I love the sentiment which came with the stamp set.  The card has been mounted onto some pink, white and patterned paper.  A ribbon and bow finished the card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Lace and Pearls at Kraftyhands

Hi Folks
A quick post from me today as I have lots to do preparing for the hen party on Saturday.  Housework, shopping and making cake pops are on the agenda for today.

We have a new challenge today starting over on the Kraftyhands blog.  Our theme for this month is:
Lace and Pearls
You can submit any project you like as long as it fits the challenge theme and has both lace and pearls.

Here is my inspiration project using a lovely CD called Deco Delights which can be found here.

The topper and papers were all printed from the CD before being matted onto dark blue cardstock.  For embellishments I think I used a bit of everything lol.  Ribbon, lace, pearls, flowers, feathers, pins, skeleton leaves and finally some stickles around the edge of the topper.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to the Kraftyhands blog for full challenge details.  You will also find some gorgeous inspiration from my talented teamies.

Anything Goes at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Hi Folks
Back again with my second post of the day.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is:
Anything Goes
A nice easy one which I know you all love.

We have two sponsors joining us for this challenge:
Inky Impressions - prize of a $10 gift certificate
Paper Creator - prize of a £10 store credit

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image from Inky Impressions called warm hello circle which can be found here.

I cut the image out using one of my spellbinder dies.  After colouring the flower I did add some glamour dust for sparkle.  The spotty backing paper was in my stash - sorry not sure who it is by.  Some brown raffia was tied to one side and the topper was mounted onto some gauze.  A few flowers in the corner finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges for full challenge details. Don't forget to check out the super inspiration projects from my talented teamies.

Let's Go Mono at Little Claire

Hi Folks
Today sees the start of a new digi stamp challenge over at Little Claire's Designs.  Our theme for this month is:
Mono
You can create any project you like as long as it follows the theme and you have used a digi image.  It does not have to be a Little Claire digi image but if you do have any we would love to see them.

Here is my inspiration project using a lovely image called Digi Silhouette Lighthouse which can be found here.

I printed the image and sentiment, cut them out and edged them with black soot distress ink.  They were then matted onto some black card.  The gingham paper is also from Little Claire.  Some black and white ribbon across the centre and some card candi finished the card.  Quick and simple but very effective I think.

Now it's over to you to get those digis out and enter the challenge.

The prize for the winner is 5 digi images of the winners choice.
Just pop over to Little Claire's Designs for full challenge details.  You will also find some great inspiration from my talented teamies.
