Anything Goes with Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Hi Folks
How are things with you all?  I am certainly not enjoying these dark nights.  All I want to do when I get home from work is curl up in front of the television lol.
The hospital appointment went okay on Monday.  It does appear that I have some narrowing of the arteries which is affecting the blood flow to my legs, hence the aches and pains on exercise.  The consultant is sending me for a scan and then wants to see me in 3 months to discuss further treatment.  With a few lifestyle changes it may improve itself but may need to have an angioplasty.  At least I now know what the problem is and can work on improving things.

But now onto crafty matters.  Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is a nice easy one for you:
Anything Goes
We have two great sponsors joining us for this challenge:
Bugaboo - prize of 7 digi images to the winner
Stitchy Bear Stamps - prize of $10 voucher for their on line store

Here is my inspiration project using a great image from Stitchy Bear Stamps.

I coloured the image with promarkers before adding some faux stitching around the edge and mounting onto black cardstock.  I added a bit of twine to one corner and a peel off sentiment.  The backing paper are from Papermania and I simply added some black pearls to two of the corners.  A great simple male card.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all  your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges for full challenge details. Don't forget to check out the awesome inspiration projects from my talented teamies.

I would like to enter the following challenges;

Butterfly Botanicals

Hi Folks
Hope you have all had a good weekend.  For those in the UK hope you made the most of your extra hour.  A short weekend for me as I was working yesterday so not much crafting time.
Wish me luck as I have a hospital appointment tomorrow.  I have had a problem with my legs and walking any distance for some time.  The doctor seems to think it may be a circulation problem or possibly arterial so I am seeing the consultant tomorrow.  Not expecting to get any answers straight away but at least it will be the start of finding out what the problem is.  As you can imagine it is quite frustrating as any form of exercise is not possible at the moment.  Just want to be able to go out and enjoy a long country walk again.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings and on to my card share for today.  This card was made using the Butterfly Botanicals CD from Kraftyhands.  This is a fabulous CD full of gorgeous images, papers and cards sets.  Certainly one worth looking at.  If any of you have been checking out the British Craft Network the guys have been demonstrating this CD on there.

I made an easel card using one of the card sets and lots of the yummy papers.  I used kraft card for all the matting and added lots of pearls and a little acrylic flower.  Love the colours in this one and gorgeous artwork.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.  Thank you all so much for passing by my blog and for all the lovely comments you leave.  I am sorry for not getting around to commenting on all your lovely blogs at the moment.  This new job is really taking it out of me at the moment.

Gold at Winter Wonderland

Hi Folks
Finally it's Friday and the end of the working week for some.  I still have to work tomorrow but looking forward to a relaxing day on Sunday.  And I will get an extra hour in bed on Sunday when the clocks go back lol.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland challenge blog.  Our theme for this week is
Gold
You can use gold embellishments, papers, ribbon, colouring - just as long as it is christmas related and we can see some gold.

Here is my inspiration project using a lovely image from Delicious Doodles.

I kept the card really simple just layering the image onto gold mirror card and using some red pearlescent card for contrast.  I did add lots of stickles to the image for added sparkle but this isn't showing up very well on the photo.  Embellishments in gold finished the card.

We have two great sponsors for this weeks challenge:

Delicious Doodles with a prize of 4 digi images to the winner

Marianne Design with a surprise for the winner

Just pop over to Winter Wonderland to check out the full challenge details and to enter.  Don't forget to check out the gorgeous creations from my talented teamies.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.

Polka Dots and Pearls

Hi Folks
Hope you are well and managing to get through your week.  I love Wednesdays as it is halfway to the weekend.  Mind you, I am on the rota to work on Saturday so a six day week for me this week.  I only have to work one Saturday in every four so not too bad.  Will probably spend most of Sunday sleeping lol.

As it is Wednesday today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our challenge theme this week is:
Polka Dots and Pearls
We do need to see both of these on your project.

We have two great sponsors joining us this week:
StampArt - a prize of 5 digi images to the winner
Sassy Studio - a prize of 4 digi images to the winner

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image called Alannah & Snowball from StampArt Design.

I decided to go for a monchrome theme and just lightly coloured the image with grey promarkers.  I also added lots of stickles but the sparkle is not really showing up.  The polka dot paper is from Papermania and all the matting was done onto black card.  Around the image I stuck some pearl strings that I got from the Hobby House many months ago.  I think it gives the effect of a frame.  Some poinsettias from my stash, a bow and a large pearl dazzler finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and I am looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges for full challenge details.  Don't forget to check out the lovely creations from my talented teamies.

Think Pink at The Crafting Cafe

Hi Folks
Hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.  Spent most of yesterday catching up on jobs that have been piling up.  Hoping to get in the craft room later for a little play.  The weather is not that good at the moment so not going to be tempted to be outside.

Today I am here to share a little inspiration for our current challenge over at The Crafting Cafe.  Our theme for this month is:
Think Pink
We also have a fab sponsor, Aurora Wings, with a prize of $10 worth of digis from the store.  How great is that?

Here is my inspiration project using Mistletoe Fairy image from Aurora Wings.

I coloured the image using promarkers and then added lots of stickles and liquid pearls.  The papers were in my christmas stash and I used kraft card for the matting. Love the combination of pink and kraft together.  Some christmas embellishments, a bow and gems finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and would love to see you enter the challenge.  Just pop over to The Crafting Cafe for full challenge details.  Look out for more inspiration throughout the month from my talented teamies.

It's All About The Hat

Hi Folks
Quick post from me this morning before I head out to work.  Looking forward to getting some crafting done this weekend as got nothing else planned.

I have made a start on my christmas cards as I have got quite a lot to make.  I saw this stamp a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it.  It is a woodware stamp and so cute.

For my first version of the card I stamped the image and then coloured it in using promarkers.  I added some stickles to his hat and some glossy accents to his nose and the holly at the bottom.  The sentiment came with the stamp set and I did some doodling around the edge before matting onto red card.  Some liquid pearls around the image finished it off nicely.

This second one is the same design but I added some paperpiecing to his hat. Really enjoyed the paperpiecing and I have lots more bits so can make quite a few of these.

Thanks for popping by and would love to know what you think.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Mid Month Inspiration for Crafting Musketeers

Hi Folks
Well it has been a wet and dismal week so far.  Leaving for work in the rain and coming home in the rain is very depressing.  Won't be long before I am getting home in the dark either.  But enough of these depressing thoughts and onto crafty matters.

We are halfway through our October challenge at the Crafting Musketeers so I am popping by to share a little inspiration with you.
Our theme this month is:
Autumn Colours
Our fabulous sponsor this month is The Hobby House who are offering the winner a £10 voucher to spend at The Hobby House.  What a fab prize.

Here is my inspiration project using a pre coloured topper from The Hobby House.

I inked around the edges of the topper and matted onto some brown card.  The papers were in my stash box, not sure who they are by but they fitted in with the autumnal colour theme.  I wrapped some twine round and added some buttons as embellishments.  A simple sentimeent finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to check out the challenge at Crafting Musketeers.  You will also find some lovely inspiration from my talented teamies.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Anything Goes at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges

Hi Folks
Here I am with my second post of the day.  I am a bit like a bus, nothing for a few days and then two posts on the same day lol.

As it is Wednesday today sees the start of a new challenge over at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges.  Our theme for this week is:
Anything Goes

Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine with a prize of 3 digi images to the winner.

Here is my inspiration project using a cute image called Christmas Boo from Lacy Sunshine.

I coloured the cute image using promarkers and added some flowersoft and glitter to her hat.  This was then matted onto silver mirror card and some gems added to the corners.  The backing papers are from Papermania and I have had them about three years.  I added some ribbon across the centre together with a bow.  The sentiment was from my stash and I added a little ribbon to make a tag effect.

Thanks for popping by and I am looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges for full challenge details. Don't forget to check out the super creations from my talented teamies.

Anything Goes
Don't forget that if you use any Imagination Crafts products (of which there is an abundance) you could win a £40 voucher to spend at Imagination Crafts.

Here is my inspiration project.

I made a quick and easy christmas card using one of the gorgeous christmas stamps.  I stamped the main image onto some very light blue card with versamark.  Mica powder was then dusted over to pick out the image.  I used the smaller snowflake stamps from the stamp set for the background using the same method.  I matted onto some dark blue glitter card.  The finishing touches were some gems, a bow and a little snowflake embellishment.

Imagination Crafts Inspiration

Hi Folks
Hope you have all had a good weekend.  I had quite a busy one but did manage some crafty time on Saturday.  The weekends really do pass by so quickly.

Today I am sharing a sneaky peek at a little project I have done for Imagination Crafts. However, if you want to see my full project and my tutorial on how I did it you will have to pop over to the Imagination Crafts inspiration blog.

I promise it is an easy project to do.  I do hope you will pop over there and leave me a comment. Would love to know what you think.

Hi Folks
Well at last it is Friday and I am looking forward to the weekend.  Mind you the days do fly by at this new job.  I start at 9.00am and before I know it 5.00pm has arrived and it is time to go home.  I am going out tonight with my new work colleagues.  Sort of a team build and getting to know you night out.  I am really looking forward to it and hopefully won't have too much of a hangover tomorrow lol.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland.  Our theme for this week is:
Lace and Pearls

We have two great sponsors for the challenge at Winter Wonderland this week.

Tag Tastic at Kraftyhands

Hi Folks
Well it certainly has turned colder the last couple of days.  I actually had to put my heating on last night too.  Thankfully our new patio areas in the back garden were completed before the weather turned.  When I have some before and after photos available I will let you see.  We love it and will make for some great BBQ parties next year.

Anyway, let's get onto crafty matters.  Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Kraftyhands Challenges.  Our theme for this month is:
Tag Tastic
So get creative with a tag.

Here is my inspiration project using the Butterfly Botanicals CD from Kraftyhands.

All of the papers and images are from the CD.  I did use some distress ink around the edges for a more vintage look.  The only addition from my stash were some flowers, ribbon and stickles.

British Craft Network

Hi Folks
Yesterday saw the launch of the British Craft Network.  This is an internet based channel where you can see fab demonstrations from some of your favourite crafting companies.  There is no hard sell, you simply see the demonstrations of the products and you can then visit the online shops to place your orders.  To keep you up to date with all the news there is a British Craft Network Facebook page.

The guys from Kraftyhands have been making an appearance demonstrating the latest release called Butterfly Botanicals.  This is a fabulous CD packed with super images, toppers, embellishments and papers.  I have made some samples for the shows and here are a couple of them.

All of the papers and images for this card have come from the CD.  I simply added some ribbon and pearls.

Again, all the papers and the images are from the CD.  I added some lace, ribbon, flowers and pearls.

Just visit the Kraftyhands web shop to get your hands on this super CD.  Then check out the British Craft Network for fab demos and inspiration.  It's the first British internet channel run by crafters for crafters.

Anything Goes at Imagination Crafts

Hi Folks
Sorry I haven't been around for a few days.  We had a lovely weekend away in Wales.  The Queen Annual Convention was as good as ever.  Wonderful tribute bands and great company.  The weather was really good too.

We arrived home on Monday to find our garden looking like a building site.  We have decided that we need a low maintenance garden so we are having all our patios redone and a large granite chipped area put in.  The company doing it started on Monday and should be finished by Thursday.  I promise I will show some before and after pictures.

Anyway, today sees the start of a new challenge over at Imagination Crafts Challenges.  Our theme for this month is:
Anything Goes
You can enter with any project you like but if you do use any Imagination Crafts products you could win a £40 voucher to spend on line in their store.  How great is that.

Here is my inspiration project.

I went for a simple but effective christmas card this month.  I used part of a christmas tree stencil together with sparkle gel.  I then added green glitter over the Sparkle Gel.  Whilst this was drying I matted some patterned paper from my stash onto green mirror card.  The topper was then matted onto more green mirror card.  A lovely bow and some gems together with a sentiment finished the card.

Thanks for popping by and looking forward to seeing all your entries.  Just pop over to Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog for full challenge details.  Don't forget to check out the wonderful creations from my talented teamies.
