Dude Time Doodles Guest Designer

Hi Folks
A couple of weeks I was lucky enough to be invited to be Dude Time Doodles Guest Designer for the month of February.  How exciting.  The team have been very welcoming and I am looking forward to spending February with them.
The first challenge of the month is titled 'A touch of Red'.  I was able to choose one of their images to create my card with.  I chose 'Hippy Rocker' and this is what I came up with.

I coloured him in with my trusty promarkers and mounted him onto red mirror card.  For the background I wanted to create a bit of a 60's feel.  I laid down my backing paper which was pink with lots of different hearts on it.  I then cut some strips of red paper and stuck these over the top. Added some glamour dust along the strips for added sparkle.  I think it worked.  My embellishments were some ribbon, chipboard letters (from Dunelm Mill), some fabric hearts and gem hearts.
